10b4 Scores - Argumentative Essay: Ken Robinson on Creativity

Very sorry to be late getting these scores out.  But I'd rather give you quality feedback than just a score.  Honestly, B4 has been VERY impressive, and it's almost impossible for me to pick out the best essays.  So many are great, which is why the scores are relatively higher than usual.  You all clearly have an opinion on the issue of education, and as a result the writing was quite good.   What I will say - going the extra mile is what earned a few of you a higher score.  In some cases the writer might not be as talented or as skilled because they haven't lived abroad, but the effort speaks for itself.  Formatting nicely, including an outside source or two, and interacting with Robinson's ideas specifically are all good strategies to earn a few extra points. 

So I encourage you click around and read what other people wrote. 

I'd like to also remind you to keep writing - anything and everything is fine.  But I can tell if something is from another class.  I'd rather see genuine stuff.   On that note, try and have at least one Reading Journal written about Shawshank.  I'd honestly like to see at least two - one about the book and one about the film and book.  But for some of you who haven't yet - just write one about the film and book.  When we read The Body, I'll actually assign the responses as this freestyle approach doesn't seem to work for everyone.

After interviews, we will start the Metaficition.  Have some ideas ready.
