I've been reading some of the meta-fiction stories, and while some are great, far too many are clearly "rushed." Try to be creative, innovative, and write like a real writer - not someone in a hurry to get it finished. Since you are allowed to choose other stories from other blogs to work with, you shouldn't feel tied down to something that "doesn't work." Some of them clearly have creative directions they can take.
Length: You should contribute some good writing towards this exercise, and two paragraphs (one at the beginning and one at the end) is not really good enough. It's "too easy." Your writing style in the metafiction should provide a striking and obvious contrast to the work you examine. Use a different font or italicize to make your work stand out, and don't be afraid to interrupt. There should be a bit of a story outside the story.
To get an A on this assignment, you'll have to do a bit of writing, and make it look good. You should use pictures. You should spend some time on it. You should have fun.
Be creative!
Is there a length limit? I think that if I don't stop myself I might have a novel on my hands....and that can't be good. :(
